I have spent nearly four decades working in public safety, leadership, training, and organizational management. My career has included service as a police officer, supervisor, and administrator, as well as assignments in emergency management, military leadership, private-sector management, and public safety education.
After retiring from full-time law enforcement at the rank of Assistant Chief of Police, I continued his involvement in public safety and training. I currently works in public safety curriculum development, helping to create and improve training for peace officers and other public safety professionals. My professional interests also include leadership, emergency management, technology, communications, and the practical use of artificial intelligence.
I have a Master of Public Administration degree from American Military University, a Bachelor’s Degree in Law Enforcement Administration from Columbia Southern University, and I am a Certified Law Enforcement Executive and Microsoft Certified Professional.
Throughout my career, I have written and contributed to professional articles, training materials, lesson plans, and other educational resources. My writing is shaped by a belief that complicated subjects can be explained clearly without making them simplistic, and that stories, whether written for professionals, adults, or children, can help people see familiar ideas from a different perspective.
My books reflect a wide range of interests and experiences, with one common goal: to create something worth reading, thinking about, and sharing.
