Some of the most meaningful lessons in kindness come from the animals who share our lives.
My wife Beverly and I are pleased to share Ellie’s Quiet Courage, our illustrated children’s book inspired by our beloved rescue dog.
Ellie knew what it was like to be afraid. In our home, she found love and safety. She also became a source of comfort for our cats, including two she stayed close to near the end of their lives.
Her gentle nature inspired this story about a frightened kitten and a patient dog who gives her new friend time to feel safe.
Creating this book has been an emotional way to remember Ellie and the quiet care she gave so freely. We hope it offers families a chance to talk about kindness, trust, and belonging.
